Update from Administrator – August 5, 2021

I would like to update you on the status of Montowese.  We recently identified one of our hospitalized residents as testing positive for COVID.  I want to assure you that we are following strict CDC and DPH guidelines in testing ALL of our employees and residents.  In light of this news, we must close the facility to outside visitation and group activities.  I know this is discomforting to the residents as well as the families however we MUST follow the State guidelines.

Even one case is considered an outbreak whether the person is in the building or not so we are doing our due diligence and testing everyone.  Once we have negative results for everyone, we will be able to open our facility to visitation.

I encourage all to get vaccinated.  Vaccination works and prevents serious disease, this is the only way we, as a society will be able to get over these upticks in infection.  If you are not vaccinated, please reconsider.  Remember, anyone not vaccinated MUST wear masks at all times during visitation.

I will continue to keep you updated and will inform you as soon as we have all the testing results.  Thank you for your continued support and the opportunity to care for your loved ones.
